IronPort C100のOSのUpdateについて †

OSのUpdateについてはWeb上で行うこともできるが、UpadateファイルをUpdate中にDownloadするため、Web上では応答が見かけ上なくなる。よって安全をみてシリアル接続してコンソールから行う。

今回は現バージョン4.7.0から5.1.0にUpdateを行うが、一度にUpできないため4.7.0->4.7.1->5.1.0の順で行う。これは4.7.1のソフトの容量が小さいためリスクが少ないとの説明だった。

今回のバージョンUpはメジャーバージョンアップのため、統計情報(Webでモニタで見える部分)が引き継がれない。このデータはexportmailflowというコマンドでエクスポートできるが、新バージョンのOS上にはインポートできない。よってバックアップは取らないようにした。その他の設定やデータは新OSに引き継がれる。

Update中もメール受信は可能なので問題なければ何もその点は意識する必要がない

手順 †

  1. upgradeコマンドで4.7.1１にアップグレード
  2. システムリブート
  3. versionコマンドで確認
  4. web上からアクセスできるか確認
  5. 外部からメール送信して受信できるか確認 (同様に同じ作業をして5.1.0にアップグレードする)
