設定

Vine4.2では/usr/bin/vmware-config.plを実行中シリアルNoのところで以下のようなエラーで進まない。

重要

Vine4.2のロケーションはEUCなのでうまく動作しないそこでUTF-8に変更

/etc/sysconfig/i18nを以下のように変更する(システムのロケーション設定の変更)

LANG="ja_JP.UTF-8"  <== 変更
SUPPORTED="ja_JP.UTF-8:ja_JP:ja" <==変更
SYSFONT="lat0-sun16"
SYSFONTACM="8859-15"

その後XWindowを再起動(ctrl+alt+backspace)

その後以下のようにvmware-config.plで環境設定後は

ロケーションをEUCに戻す

LANG="ja_JP.eucJP"
SUPPORTED="ja_JP.eucJP:ja_JP:ja"

ただし、この状態で /etc/rc.d/init.d/vmware restartではうまく動作しないが、リブートでは動くようだ。
